Our young Haitian friend Frandy has surfaced after the earthquake.
Frandy called yesterday. His voice was desperate but he did say that he and his family are not hurt. They are living on the street as are hundreds of thousands of other Haitians. He stressed the fact that they have no water, food, or money.
Frandy applied for a student visa to attend a university in the United States several months ago. His application was barely looked at by the American Consulate in Port-au-Prince before they told him no. And he even has an American family that has stated that they will pay for his education and housing in the United States.
